garlic made me do it.
My stomach has been doing that moaning cow thing all morning that makes my teeth grit in a seething fury of endurance. Plus, I was half an hour late for a nine a.m. team meeting this morning.

It's not hard to trace these things back, in part, to my willingness to indulge a sudden bruschetta craving after waking up at three a.m.

I just wrote and then cut a grumble about birthdays which I decided was both boring and lame, leaving me with nothing much to say, I guess. My lateness for work today makes me feel the need to buckle down and work harder than usual. Must go to a meeting in about three minutes, too. Well, actually, now.

Wow: most boring entry ever. I win! I win!

Bruschetta is my favorite food. But yeah, the garlic has a real afterpresence.

Damn. Now I have a craving.

I too wonder now if it's your birthday or about to be . . . or are you annoyed by some birthday-related topic? Having to do with birthday celebrations at the office, perhaps? (A frequent source of annoyance to me back in the day, for example.)

Nah, it's not my birthday--that was a while ago, but it's kind of about my birthday nonetheless, vis-a-vis office birthday parties (ah, how insightful you are), but as I say: very boring. {g}

Aww, I *like* office birthday celebrations. Assuming I'm working with a decent bunch of people to begin with. (Not always the case, unfortunately.) Maybe I'm just overly sentimental--or more likely it's just because the rest of corporate life is frequently a big stinkin' pile of pooh--but I think a little birthday celebration here and there adds a nice, humanizing touch to the workplace. (And then, some years are so tough, you deserve a celebration just for having survived them.)

But you managed to indulge the bruschetta urge at 3 am. That is an impressive feat. I get lots of bruschetta cravings, but I'm always left with no bread, no tomatoes and no cilantro. It's rather problematic, especially at 3am.

You're trying to make me post about my cats again, I can tell.
