argh...question for the collective brain.
My Windows Media player has suddenly started playing everything very slooooowly. I went to look at play speed settings (under enhancements), but it's set at normal, and when I speed up, the sound quality just decreases. Does anyone know what this might be caused by & how to fix it?

Did you install an update?
I had a similar problem because of an update months ago. It might work to just restart your computer, which I know sounds simple but I remember doing a bunch of things before that ocurred to me.

I tried to install an update, but didn't have admin perms on my work computer so it didn't finish. Grrr. It's been restarted since then though. I guess I'll file a tech ticket. Thanks!

This helped me fix things, by the way, and since my headphones are the only thing keeping me tethered to sanity in the workplace--THANK YOU! *g*

Silly Anna. Use vlc instead.

That is, if you're having video problems. Are you talking about audio?

It was audio, but after wrestling it, it's okay now. :) Thanks!

Sounds like demon posession. You might want to ring a priest.
