where are the dancing boys?
As I said to Sandy a little while ago, I know it's possible to be more bored than I am now. I just don't know how it's possible.

ETA: Is there a way to read my friend-of list in browseable fashion, the way I can read my flist? Because that'd be cool. ETA2: Ah: http://www.livejournal.com/users/username/friendsfriends/ (Thank you!)
Current Mood: you know

You, er, could be writing a 5000 word essay on the body language of literature, and found yourself having run out of things to say by word 493 on account of your sheer brilliance and conciseness. Then you could eke it out with obvious and not so obvious examples until you reach 2247 words, and still have to find the same amount again. That's how bored you could be. You should be grateful that you don't have to go and spam everyone on LJ just to make sure that the misery is shared. Still, I am providing amusing anecdotes to pepper my rants. Or becoming an anecdote, I forget.

I like your icon. That expresses the afternoon well. Though it's a little scary, because I think boy has an aneurysm.

Which boy, me or the icon, because really? Difficult to tell. Awake for 40 hours! Yay!

I have discovered that the phrase "bored to tears" has bais in truth in the recent past, are you that bored? ;)

I am not crying quite yet. However, pellucid tears have gathered like dew-drops in the corners of my cornflower-blue eyes, to tremble on the verge, while small white doves circle my head in distress.

You could be require to read the Gospel of John, plus all accompanying commentary texts and handouts this weekend PLUS come up with a paper topic that is NOT a repeat of your previous paper on blood prohibitions in Bibical Judaic food laws. Even though you find that food purity laws are what you really really really want to keep writing about.
I'm just sayin' - there's bored and then there's bored. Or do I mean bored and boring?

I am both bored and boring. I am trying to think of reasons to justify me leaving the office early. Sudden emergency! My houseplants called me in a panic--they need water! I suddenly realized I need to wash my socks! Somewhere, lettuce is wilting! I have vampires to slay! None of which sound particularly convincing even to me.

How 'bout this? Your socks just called. They somehow got seperated after the wash. They are lonely.
I am sure that your boss will buy it. Or maybe you could tell him you just HAVE to go outside and watch that tiny cloud in the NW part of the sky disinegrate.
You could try writing my paper for me! Oh yes - that's just the ticket! I am a GENIUS!

I read that as "Somewhere a lettuce is witling!"

And so it is, and so it is. *nods sagely*
