And then the world exploded.
Showtime is on my shit list. They're offering Odyssey 5, but are leaving out episodes. Their line-up lacks eps 7, 9, 11 and 12. WTF? Who would DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS who is not innately stupid or evil? And so I'm watching eps and all of a sudden things have dramatically changed--there's a wife I don't know about who is already gone, and Mrs Astronaut has been told about the mission *again*, and argh. I want to kill them. Plus, when I tuned by chance into an episode that was airing the other day, and recklessly decided to watch it, I was fucked over with one of the most massive spoiler ever.

I don't want to ask for episode copies. I just want this to be on DVD. Why are so many pinheaded suits in the world controlling what's available to us?

See my icon. Giles is also unhappy with them.

There's also this variation. ::points::

It's sharable; credit goes to "Misty".

Well. That explains while the "previously on Odyssey 5" mentioned things we had no memory of.

Rats.

Showtime has showed all the eps so far. To start they were showing 4 eps a Friday. Now we're down to 2 (last 2 next friday). You may not have caught all the 4 eps perhaps?

I actually had no clue they were airing them ahead of time or I might have been able to plan better. I was using my On Demand feature to try and watch them all instead. :(

Showtime has aired all of Odyssey 5 thus far. Are you certain you're getting it at all the scheduled times? Because I've been recording it on my TiVo and I have every episode, in order.

Unfortunately when it comes to taping stuff on a schedule, I can't depend on my own, so I've been relying on the On Demand service, which is making the eps available--but as noted, leaving some out.

And, actually, I'd no idea ahead of time that they were airing the series--I caught an ep entirely by chance, probably halfway or more through the run, and then the series turned up through the On Demand feature. Ah well. Most things *do* come out on DVD eventually, thank god, and I have something to look forward to. :>)

TV companies do this sort of thing to shows they don't like.
They did it to Dr Who before it was cancelled entirely - not missing out episodes, but showing them on different nights of the week, until we were so confused we couldn't keep track.
