Agriculture officials make 10,000-pound meat recall

My morbid fascination continues.

"The sick animal came from a farm in Mabton, Washington, about 40 miles southeast of Yakima. The cow was a so-called 'downer' animal, meaning it was unable to walk when reaching the slaughterhouse, which under U.S. Department of Agriculture rules triggers automatic testing. The farm is now under quarantine.

Congress considered but rejected legislation this year that would have banned the use of any downer animal parts for human consumption."

Gah.

And then there's this! ("Gay images removed from National Mall video") Pinheadedness pointed out by movies_michelle.

Some mornings simply need to be rejected with a hasty return to bed.
