That's so weird, isn't it? I also get these word spams, and I can't figure out what the purpose of them is. How do they sell me something?

So odd.

You should write Spander porn that incorporates all the words.

In your copious spare time.

I remember reading somewhere that those random word things are an attempt to trick spam-blocking software into thinking that there's a real message inside of the email (since there are actual words in it and not random letter gibberish like you can get with some automatically generated viruses). I think this is supposed to be part of viruses trying to propegate themselves or some such, but at that point my memory becomes foggy.

Heh, I have to admit I have a sneaking fondness for those. In my inbox this morning was spam with the subject line "Acorn seamstress polisher." It -- it almost means something. Like "total anyhow moment" and "dowager elk."

"dowager elk" is my favorite. *g*

I have a tendency to use them for an improv.

Baleful abdominal tagging! It's the ghost of XF episodes past.

I love these too. I got one yesterday that included the phrase "landlord repellent."

That's it -- the spam-filtering tools use some kind of analysis based on how many of the words are porn-likely or spam-likely words. So if your friend writes a 500-word email that mentions "penis" once, that gets like a 1% spam-possibility rating, but if the email contains only ten words and one of them is "penis" and another one is "enlarge" then it gets a 99% rating.

Buffy Season Noir
Hello my wonderful exquisite Goddess!

Loved the last update to Season Noir. It was a long time ago since my heart beat in true excitement while reading something, but when I read it ooooh God! You are a wonderful and talented writer.

Okay I loved the whole story but I think this is my favourite chapter!(Except for that part when S&B meet in that dark alley and he gives her a pack of cigarettes, gosh I cannot explain it any other way)

Although you made me a little bit disappointed with myself when I read the above collection of words. I thought I have a relatively good vocabulary of beautiful English regarding that it is not even my native language, but I can see that I'm nowhere. :( I didn't understand half of it. Shit.

Also you are the one who introduced me to Spike slash. I didn't even think that I would love it before.

I really really hope that you will not be angry with me that I posted here in your livejournal.

I just wanted to wish you a very happy X-mas and New Year!

Thank you so much for the fine fiction you gave us!

Your faithful fan

another good review
Hi Anna

I printed out "Subtleties" for a gay (guy) friend, and he was well impressed, both with the writing and the sex! He said "where does she get her information? She's given me a few ideas!"

Re: another good review
I take an inordinate delight in getting gay male feedback on my slash stories, I have to say--so this thrills me! :>D (And the reason I do is perhaps in part because of how anti-slash people, who are so rarely gay males themselves, so often seem to feel the need to speak up on behalf of the tragically exploited Universal Gay Male, whom we slashers are--they say--much maligning with our stories. *eye roll*

So thank you for passing that on! *g*
