just the facts, man.
It really sucks to set yourself a goal of writing 30 pages--that is, about 15,000 words--in two days, and achieve instead 772 words in two days. It was a stupid goal to be sure. But I keep whipping my hopes on and failing.

Chain by Irfikos is a great story just recced on BBF. I gulped it down in under two hours. It's a smart reimagining of season six and it absolutely rocks--in the same dark, saddening way that the best parts of season six rocked.

Like most of you I have to go to work tomorrow morning. This necessity is, however, a special crime against *my* nature. Because I am a princess.

I've decided that's it for tonight. No more risible, unproductive attempts at productivity. I'm going to curl up in the sheets like a pillbug and listen to CDs and imagine Riley nuzzling Spike's neck.

Though I may leave my computer running for a while because I am an addict....

My current bedtime happy thought is Hornblower and Pellew. The sheer horror of it should make me want to go to immediately to sleep, but I can't seem to stop myself.

Well, if it's any consolation (which I know it isn't), you achieved roughly 750 words more than *I* did this weekend.

And I was going to riff on Anna the Pillbug Princess, except it struck me that that is neither a pretty nor an edifying image, so I abandon it, and will only say that of a Monday morning, instead of going to work, you should be swooped down upon by Spike and Riley, who shall feed you a lavish pancakes-and-latte breakfast, and nuzzle each other while you eat it, and then wrap you in a soft down comforter and waft you away to the Land of Pretty Men, where you shall indeed reign as princess, and have never-faltering computers and instantaneous broadband connections and a guarantee of either good fiction or amusing LJ entries popping up every five minutes by the clock.
