the unfair distribution of precipitation

It snowed. And then the snow went away. Not fair! *pleads with snow* Come back!

In winter I expect the world to look like this:

Every year here I wait for the Big Snow and just about every year I'm disappointed.

Has anyone ever taken a medication, had an undesirable side effect crop up, stopped taking it, but then decided to try it again at a later time, and discovered that the side effect didn't recur? I'm just wondering if that ever happens. Trying to make decisions here.

update and muffins

I have 1695 new words of noir. It's rolling surprisingly well for a car I thought to be out of gas. (Well, to be honest, it's not so much I thought that, as I wanted to drive a different car for a while, but that doesn't seem to be happening right now.)

How does one avoid muffins? I hear one calling me from Dilletante's chocolate shop. It's a black-bottom cupcake, really, but it's bad like a muffin is bad. A bad mean muffin, thick and naughty with calories, all cream-cheesey and cocoa-rich. Damn all muffins! *shakes fist*

I do have half a carrot in the fridge. It's enough to make me want to drown myself in the bath. I'd use a nice bubble bath if I did that though, so don't worry.
