Then I woke up and went to my LJ...yah huh. *g* Apparently my subconscious has a talent for megalomaniacal grade inflation. I appreciate the feedback I *have* received very much. :>)
Today I find myself wishing that Kozmo.com was still around. Kozmo was the logical offspring of dot-com entrepreneurship and slacker consumerism: an online service offering one-hour delivery (by bicycle courier) of candy bars, soda, movie rentals, magazines, CDs, books, wine, coffee, patisserie cookies, toilet paper, toothpaste, gourmet ice cream, DiGiorno pizzas, Pop Tarts, etc. Basically, a dream come true for stoners, exhausted tech workers, agoraphobics, the lazy, and singles in general. It was only ever in a handful of cities, and turned out to be tragically short-lived. I don't know why. It seems like such a fit for urban culture, a blessed return to a time when it was common practice for grocery and liquor stores to deliver.
So in the absence of home delivery, my forlorn question is: what the hell am I having for lunch?
