Had to come back and ask...

I usually print out stories to read. Are you thinking of making any changes, or is it okay to go ahead?

What great news! I've been reading and adoring Season Noir since its beginnings as a handful of scenes in your old blog. I'm so thrilled to be about to find out what happens next!

Just read the latest chapter. I can say with complete sincerity, and without intent to flatter, but to inform: no one does it like you do, Anna.

Fabulous chapter. ;)

Oh, fuck yay. I loved it, and remembered why this fic has been a favorite. I'm so pleased you're continuing, and I adore the nice, long chapters. Such is the originality and impact of this story on my psyche that while the previously ons were appreciated, they were hardly necessary – I mostly remembered, after all these months. Which is not to say I don't hope the next chapter comes sooner.

Thank you.

Season Six Spike in true form. Woot! Please write more. I'm so looking foward to Spike explaining to Angel and Giles who Buffy is. :snerk:

I have nothing original to say, it's all been said before and better; that was fabulous.

Of course there were loads of great bits, intriguing plot, insightful characterisation, and really meaty dialogue (I don't think anyone else is quite as good at the voices as you are), Spike describing an upset Drusilla particularly struck me, "Twisted herself up like a handkerchief, all white and weepy." I can so picture her in my head wearing one of those Empire line nighties, long thin arms windmilling, caterwauling in distress and just the most dangerous, unpredictible thing you would never wish to find in your tea, blah, blah and all it took from you was ten words.

Job well done.

I am unbearably excited.

Words. Noir. More.

Too much work, but then I have this to look forward to.

Yummy Noir
Thanks SOOOOO much for the newest Noir!! It was just as wonderful as the previous chapters, and I am looking forward to the next step in the journey. Keep up the good work!

That was an excellent chapter. The storyline has me gnawing my fingernails. I think my favorite parts were the scenes between Xander and Willow, in distracting the guards at the checkpoint and later talking about what a stupid idea it was. You are so good at showing the emotional conflicts of the characters I don't know how to describe it without squeeing at you. You depict them as very real people, with all the complications and subtleties that implies, but they are still the canon characters from the show. So anyway, story rocks, you rock, etc.

Oh, Anna, Anna, Anna! :-) I had forgotten how delicious this series is. I love your noir, unabashedly, in that starstruck way I love giant arc'd stories I can't begin to conceive of...conceiving.

Marvelous and dark and spot-on. Yay.
rhyannelise on September 19th, 2003 11:21 am (UTC)

Just mimic-ing what others are saying so much better than me!

Thank you. I LOVE this series.
