ghhhhhhhh.
That's the sound you make when you're so dazed you can't even get a vowel in your "guh."

So I was rewatching Laura's Beatitudes vid and I noticed again the line usd for the clips of Tara: "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." And that's a well-known quote, of course, but it gave me this frissoning little chill as I "read" it differently for the first time ever, realized it could have a different meaning. Because Tara did inherit the earth, right? She was buried in it.

Maybe this eerie double-reading is familiar already to everyone else who's known that saying since childhood, but I'm pretty blown away.

Hi there
I've just added you because you came up on my 50 closest non-friends list (but don't be under any obligation to add in return).
I've never seen that vid you mention, but yes, that double reading is chilling.
Poor Tara......

I'd never considered it that way before, but now I believe it's the only way I will ever think of it. I find it strangely beautiful. Thanks for pointing that out.

An odd question
I found out about you and your writings (mmm...Sentinel slash !) via flambeau's friends list.
And I have a question, but please feel free not to answer if it's too personal or something. Is your username related to the Romanian writer Mircea Eliade ? I only ask because I'm a Romanian girl very fond of his writings and was curious :-)

Re: An odd question
No relation. :>) I borrowed "eliade" as my user name more or less at random, because I couldn't think of anything else and I had one of his books in front of me at the time.

Oh, cool, someone else thought of that! Yes, I really got a chill from that when I saw the vid, but a good chill. I had a little trouble with the idea of Giles and Joyce as peacemakers (to me, Willow and Tara would be the peacemakers, but then I don't know where she would have put Giles and Joyce *g*) but other than that, I adored the choices she made for the lyrics, and that Tara bit was one of the coolest.

See, I love observations like this, because I never in a million years would have thought of it myself, and I *made* the damned thing. (:

Cree-pee. Cool.

The next time I watched it, after making that post, I got an entirely different reading--I noticed that on "earth" you went to Willow and were probably meaning that Willow is the earth, a grounded and earthy prize for Tara.

But that's what art is all about: layers. :)
