"While the inhabitants of Atlantis believe themselves to be in another galaxy, the island city itself was actually constructed by auto-factory workers from Detroit and placed in the middle of lake Huron. The other planets they visit look suspiciously like parts of Canada, with many rocks and trees, and sometimes water; but it can't possibly be Canada, because that's where SG-1 does most of their exploring. It is suspected, however, that these planets were terraformed millenia ago by Canadian Ancients, who also brought with them the Arrogant Worms, who promptly ascended and renamed their band "The Ori." However, this is widely disputed. It is also rumored that at least one of the addresses that the Atlantis gate can dial leads directly to Delaware." - Uncyclopedia

"Dr. Rodney McKay, a brilliant snarkitist with an advanced degree in Snarkology. Is deathly allergic to everything and has frequent delusions (a.k.a. wet dreams) of scoring repeatedly with arch-rival Samantha Carter. Played by super crime-fighting ninja David Hewlett." - From the primary Stargate Atlantis article--impressively scholarly

"'How can such vitality and such pathos co-exist in such a perfect body?' ~ Oscar Wilde on David Hewlett

Fattening up to hide his superhuman muscular formation, Hewlett trained in the arts of the ninja and the Batman while helping to found popular beat combo Hewlett-Packard. His diverse activities have made him a hero to many Canadians, and it is not uncommon to be accosted on the streets of Toronto by enthusiasts wanting to know if you've 'experienced the love of David' yet.

The 'love of David' is the source of much criticism inside Canada, with at least ten percent of Canadians believed to be the fruit of his crime-fighting loins." - Excerpts from the David Hewlett article

*grins widely*

That's got to be 10% of teenagers or younger, right? Unless one of his special crime-fighting skills is that he is perpetually between the ages of 20 and 40? *ponders*

It is also rumored that at least one of the addresses that the Atlantis gate can dial leads directly to Delaware.

I can verify. The Delaware 'gate is frequently used as a target during Punkin Chunkin' season, leading those who have traveled through it to surmise that the natives at that address are the most technologically advanced bunch of morons yet encountered. (Of course, Punkin Chunkin is really an advanced weapons testing funded by the people who invented Delaware.)

Such genius that lurks on the internets! The UNcyclopedia. Wonderful stuff.

He also longs to follow in his fathers footsteps and become The Doctor...

How much you want to bet David Hewlett wrote this? (With his tongue so far in cheek, it's comin' thru the other side)

"'How can such vitality and such pathos co-exist in such a perfect body?' ~ Oscar Wilde on David Hewlett

*smirk*

You know that if Oscar Wilde were alive today, he'd be writing David Hewlett fanfic. *g*

OMG, those are hysterical!! I am (wo)manfully resisting clicking on the links, because I have to go to work in a bit, and I can't afford to get sucked in ...

The funniest thing is that if you scrolled up 5 entries on my f-list from yours, you'd find one from my beloved osirusbrisbane talking about how he lost several hours to the wonders of Uncyclopedia ... which was the first time I'd ever heard of it. Coincidence? Hmmmm.

Hello. Sadly I am not here to comment on the above quotations; I'm here to ask you about the Spander Inquisition Archives and whether or not they still exist, as you have professed to not answering your email. I've looked and looked and it seems you've deleated these stories from your LJ (quite understandable, as it's been two years). I was wondering if there is still a master list out there. Anyway, sorry to bother you. Cheers.

Oh, wow.
Upon reading the first paragraph, my immediate reaction was, "Is this an AU fic?" As for the rest, all I can say is that it was *so* obviously written by a Hewlett fan. "Have you experienced the love of David yet?" *snickers* I think that might deserve its own icon.

Homage and Thanks
I saw your post of last Jan. 29, with the overwhelmingly encyclopedic listing of Kinks, Cliches, and Tropes. I Harvested it a while back to add to my collection of similar lists that I use when Smut-inspiration fails, but it suddenly occurred to me that I could combine them all to create a Boon to Smutty Fanficcers.

So I did and just finished it today.
The Pornocopia randomly generates a selection of Kink, Cliche, Trope and Prompt.

It makes me smile. I hope you like it, too.

RE: SGA Recs
I don't know if you'll see this but... I enjoy reading your journal for many reasons; lately, for the SGA recs you make. As a newcomer to SGA fandom, I just wanted to say thank you.
