Imagine a funny quote from Monty Python here.
I am bored in the same way that the Grand Canyon is a hole in the ground.

Paper cutters scare me. What if I walked up to one in a trance and stuck my hand in it and cut it off? That could happen.

This is really just a GIP. I've been retiring, unretiring, and creating new user pics.

Me too. We have one near the photocopiers in my office. Unfortunately, I have to pass it to get to my diet Coke stash, which means three trips a day, minimum. Someone's always leaving the blade arm up, and I can just picture myself stumbling, reaching out to catch myself, and cutting my thumb off on the blade. That could do unfortunate things to my typing speed. Or maybe I'd just have to give up on the space bar.

Why do people DO that? This is why if you leave the blade up in kindergarten, the teacher should cut off your thumb to teach you a lesson.

Aaaagh! 20 movie moments popped into my head just then. Bacon Slicers (Children of the Corn), Sheet Glass (The Omen) Friday 13th (a joyful backhand decap from Jasons Mum)... I've watched *so* much crap! (Loves on the crap)

I was thinking the other day how much I like your simple face-shot icons. They are beautifully chosen. It was when you posted on The Invisible Man. That is such a lovely Vincent on your icon. I've found it hard to find fic that truly reaches the canon hights of The Bobby and Darien Show. *g* Cool stuff.

I *just* five minutes ago bought a used copy of "Friday the 13th Part VI." Heeeeee.

Thank you so much! As I was playing in Photoshop earlier I was mourning my lack of artistic savvy with the tools--I'd love to do sophisticated layers--but then I was trying to console myself with the "simple but elegant" theory of my icons to date. So you validate and relieve me. *g*

This has actually been a fear of mine since I first saw a paper cutter at the library when I was in kindergarten. I'm rather surprised that I've gone 25 years without incident.

I used to also worry, after the concept of paper cutter was introduced to me, that if my hand or leg or foot or anything dangled over the edge of my twin bed then a gigantic unknown and controlled-by-mystical-forces papercutter would descend from the wall.

It was all that straight line and neat edges...that will fuck a girl's psyche up.

Once, I cut a bit off the tip of my finger with a film negative cutter.
Well, I'd be a bloody fool to have done it twice...
It was only a tiny bit, but my "friends" put it in a film pot for me to keep.
The cut end throbbed for 3 days.
