I contemplate my toes.
Sometimes you paint your toenails and they look stylin'. Other times, your feet suddenly turn into freakish vestigial flippers with long Gollumy toes and bright red tips. Feet, man. Feet are weird.

I think this may be my only thought today. No, wait--that's two, isn't it.

Right there with you. Feet are weird, yo.

On the other hand, I took a muscle relaxant an hour ago so everything seems weird.

As my charming mother has told me on many occasions, I have big hillbilly feet. Skinny in the back, wide and flat in the front. It also looks like someone took a hatchet and chopped all of my toes off so they all line up to the same length. And I have teeny, tiny toenails that are virtually impossible to paint.

But I don't care. I embrace my fugly feet. I will go out in public wearing cute sandals that show off my mutant toes. And when people look at me like I have no sense, I just give ignore them. At least they aren't really hairy or scaly. Just regular ol' ugly.

Interesting -- my ex used to tell me all the time that I had ugly feet because my toes are long like fingers. I think they look rather elegant. This might or might not be one of the reasons he is The Ex. I like my toes. But I hate having big giant size 11 feet.

Still... "Toes!" [/Rachel moment]

I did a dance of joy when I saw that there were several pairs of size 11's in Target the other day...and they were actually CUTE!

Never do I paint my toenails and they look stylin'. This is not the fault of my feet, which are good feet. The problem is that my hands shake. Even with bland, neutral shades of nail polish, the result is less than elegant; with red polish, it looks like I stuck my feet in a lawnmower. Sigh.

Feet and Toes
Okay, I dig my feet. I have awesome feet. I once dated a guy who was "into" feet - not a fetishist, but a guy who appreciated a nice foot the way another guy might appreciate nice hands or a nice neck.

My toenails are HUGE and I have "foot fingers" since my toes look like fingers. I spend a lot of time polishing said toenails and wearing sandals to show them off. I find that keeping my toenails longish - to the ends of my toes, cuts down to ingrowns and makes them look nicer.

Right now they're sporting "Tequila Sunrise" which is a orange-y coral color and just right for a Florida spring.

I toast yer toes.

I have regular feet, not too ugly, not too pretty, but I have always admired them as the best part of my body. Mostly because, since I was a kid, I have loved to go barefoot. Swimming, climbing rocks, on the beach, so my feet get pretty roughed up. But they are strong, and look it. My last boyfriend wanted to paint my feet. He did so, on parchment with pretty sepia colors. It's the only thing I kept from him, to remind me that my feet are important.

Be kind to your feet - you'll miss them when they're gone.
If you get, like, foot rot or gangrene...
I have hairy toes.
It's worrying.
